Professors Without Borders Think Tank

Professors Without Borders in collaboration with, The German School , LSEIdeas, The Gulf Futures Center and Richmond, the American University in London is hosting its first student-led conference “Teaching Tech to Gen Z” . This event will provide a platform for participants in education, tech and research the opportunity to examine the ways in which education needs to adapt to address the needs of Generation Z in a changing world.

The future has been transformed by the digital revolution in the last ten years and reached both our professional and personal lives. This ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’ is disrupting systems of management, technology and production, governance, communications and of course learning. It has benefitted many, improving efficiency and productivity, but has equally contributed to growing inequality, fuelling discontent across the demographic divide.

“Teaching Tech to Gen Z” will take place on 18 May 2019 at the German School London—Douglas House. The conference will offer a solution-oriented approach to achieve a learning environment where Generation Z are equipped with the tools they need to adapt to the digital age. The conference features two panels. One will examine the challenges and opportunities of ‘Teaching Tech’, while the other will focus on the social and mental wellbeing of young adults in the digital age.
